Terms of use
By using LicenseReady you agree to these terms. They are written to be readable on purpose.
What LicenseReady is and isn’t
LicenseReady is a free study aid for the U.S. Commercial Driver’s License knowledge exams. Practice tests on this site are not the official CDL exam. Passing a LicenseReady practice test does not entitle you to a CDL, a Commercial Learner’s Permit, or any other government credential. Only your state’s licensing agency can issue those.
Accuracy disclaimer
We work hard to keep the question bank aligned with the most current FMCSA CDL Manual edition, but federal and state rules change. Always verify critical numbers (weights, distances, hours-of-service limits, hazmat classifications) against the official handbook from your state DMV before relying on them in commercial driving. LicenseReady is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind.
Acceptable use
You may use LicenseReady for personal, non-commercial study purposes. You may not scrape the site at scale, republish the question bank, build a competing site from our content, or use automated tools to interact with the site in a way that interferes with other users.
Intellectual property
The underlying CDL question content is paraphrased from the public-domain FMCSA CDL Manual and is itself in the public domain. The LicenseReady name, logo, page layouts, design choices, and original explanatory text are copyright the LicenseReady team.
Liability
LicenseReady is not liable for missed exam appointments, failed exams, denied licenses, suspended privileges, or any commercial losses arising from your use of the site. Drive safely; the rules in the handbook exist because people died learning them the hard way.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the homepage.
Effective date: July 1, 2026.
